Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 13, 2026 · Last Updated: June 22, 2026
The short version: WorkerHive collects the minimum information needed to run the app. We do not sell your data. We do not show you ads. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. You own your content.
1. Who We Are
WorkerHive ("we," "our," or "us") is a professional community platform for gig workers and tradespeople. WorkerHive is owned and operated by Kolindra Group LLC, founded by Sumeet Kolindrekar (Founder & CEO). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@workerhive.app.
2. What Information We Collect
We collect only what's needed to provide the WorkerHive service:
- Account information: Your email address when you sign up.
- Profile information: Your name, city, trade type (gig/trade/both), primary trade, and years of experience — information you choose to provide during onboarding.
- Content you create: Posts, job listings, and suggestions you submit to the platform.
- Usage data: Basic information about how you interact with the app (e.g. posts liked, content viewed). We do not track location, browsing history, or device contacts.
- Identity verification documents (optional): If you choose to verify your identity to gain access to verified communities, we collect a photo of your government-issued ID (e.g. driver's license) and a selfie photo. Submission is entirely voluntary. See Section 5 for full details.
- Invoice data (optional): If you use the Invoice feature, you may enter client names, client email addresses, service descriptions, amounts, and payment notes. This data is stored in your account and is only accessible to you. See Section 6 for full details.
We do not collect your Social Security number, financial account details, or precise GPS location.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information exclusively to:
- Provide and operate the WorkerHive app and community
- Display your profile and content to other authenticated members
- Send you important account-related communications (e.g. password reset, service updates)
- Improve and debug the service
- Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
We will never use your data to show you ads, sell it to third parties, or build a marketing profile on you.
4. How We Store Your Data
WorkerHive uses Supabase as our backend database and authentication provider. Supabase stores data on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the United States. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II compliant and encrypts data in transit and at rest.
Your session token is stored locally on your device using secure encrypted storage (iOS Keychain).
5. Identity Verification
WorkerHive offers an optional identity verification feature that allows members to unlock "Verified" status in certain communities. If you choose to submit a verification request:
- What we collect: A photo of your government-issued ID (such as a driver's license) and a selfie photo taken at the time of submission.
- Why we collect it: To confirm that you are a real person and to build trust within professional communities on the platform. Verification is voluntary and not required to use WorkerHive.
- How it is stored: Your documents are uploaded to a private, access-controlled storage bucket on Supabase (AWS). They are never publicly accessible and are not shown to other members of the app.
- Who reviews it: Only authorized WorkerHive team members review submitted documents to approve or deny verification requests. Documents are not shared with any third party.
- Retention: Identity documents are retained for the duration of your account. You may request deletion at any time by contacting support@workerhive.app. We will remove verification documents within 30 days of a valid request.
Photos submitted for identity verification are used solely for the purpose of verifying your identity on WorkerHive and are not used for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.
6. Invoice Feature
WorkerHive includes an optional Invoice tool that allows you to create, manage, and share professional invoices with your clients. If you use this feature:
- What you enter: Client names, client email addresses, service descriptions, quantities, rates, tax percentages, due dates, and payment notes.
- Who can see it: Only you. Invoice data is stored in your private account and is never shared with other WorkerHive members or third parties.
- How it is stored: Invoices are stored in your Supabase account on AWS infrastructure in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Client data: When you enter a client's name or email address, you are responsible for having appropriate permission to store that contact information. WorkerHive does not use this data for any purpose other than displaying it within your invoices.
- PDF sharing: When you tap "Share PDF," a PDF is generated on your device and shared via iOS's standard share sheet. WorkerHive does not transmit or store the PDF — it goes directly from your device to wherever you send it.
- Retention: Invoice data is deleted when you delete your account. You may also delete individual invoices at any time within the app.
7. Who We Share Your Information With
We share your information only in these limited circumstances:
- Other WorkerHive members: Your public profile (name, trade, rep score, posts) is visible to other authenticated users of the platform.
- Service providers: Supabase (database/auth). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and cannot use it for their own purposes.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access your data: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct your data: Update your profile information at any time within the app.
- Delete your account: Contact us to permanently delete your account and associated data. We will process requests within 30 days.
- Withdraw consent: Stop using the app at any time.

9. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it or where it is necessary to protect our legal interests.
Posts and content you have made may remain visible after account deletion unless you specifically request content removal.
10. Children's Privacy
WorkerHive is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.
11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of your data. WorkerHive does not sell personal data. To exercise your rights, contact us at support@workerhive.app.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of WorkerHive after changes means you accept the updated policy.
